COIL reverberator

Hot! COIL reverberator

COIL REVERBERATOR

"be vigilant, for the snake hides in the shadows, always plotting to do harm"

From subtle amp-like spring reverb to a full-on fuzzed-out oscillating reverb-saturated wall of noise - Coil does it all.

Running reverb before distortion can create a unique, dreamy, and often more atmospeheric sound. It can subtley smear and modulate the reverb decay, resulting in a heavy, melancholic, yet pleasant sound, often associated with the shoegaze sound.

The drive circuit (bite knob) can go from clean to full-on distortion/fuzz. It is a unique circuit but is similar to old reel-to-reel and console preamps that retain low end when overdriving and clip/compress in a unique and pleasant way without the use of clipping diodes often found in traditional drive pedals.

The "infinity" (snake eating itself) knob blends in the reverb signal from the output back into the input. This feature adds subtle sustain and movement to the reverb decay at low settings and when cranked will self-oscillate like an analog delay pedal!

The kill dry footswitch cuts your dry guitar signal so only the reverb path is present. This gives you the ability to achieve massive atmospeheric and ambient sounds. You can also use it to run a wet/dry rig where the Coil is your wet path effect. The drive effects both the wet and dry signals so you can stil drive the reverb even when the dry is cut.

The amp knob is a master volume to keep everything under control. The freq knob is a powerful master tone control that can go from dark brooding to bright shimmering reverberation.

Best belton brick reverb around 5 product stars
"My instant reaction to Coil when I plugged this in is that this beauty does everything I love about other belton brick reverb pedals on the market, but better. If you asked me to take my favorite qualities from my other reverbs and condense them into one pedal, Coil is basically what I would ask for. Coil has vibrant modulated trails of reverb that can be beuatifully bright or dark and murky. It's perfectly balanced, it can do anything from a subtle springy reverb all the way up to blown up fuzzy washed out chaos. Coil makes for an excellent thick overdrive too if you prefer to dial out the reverb totally. Great for running before other drive pedals to slam them hard, Coil has plenty of volume to push anything after it. Between the flexible mix of the reverb, the EQ and the distortion built in, you have tons of opportunities to fit this onto just about any pedalboard you can think of. The build quality is also looking great. Very clean solder work inside, and the PCB layout seems very well thought out too.
