DARE delay

D.A.R.E Delay The DARE delay is an analog/tape voiced digital delay with an all analog dry signal path and true-bypass relay switching. It does not have a lot of noise-reduction or filtering elements which keep the repeats natural and warm sounding. It has about the same bandwidth as the classic tape echo units, and it can be used in front of an amplifier or in amplifier effects loops. The delay is designed to work well with distortion - which is not always the case with other delays. You can use the pedal before or after distortion. It's tone has been carefully tuned with a lot of attention to the first repeat - it's not super high in the mix and doesn't get in the way - so a tap tempo is not really needed. The MIX control goes from one signal repeat to near infinite repeats all the way through to self oscillation. TIME: From about 30ms fully counter clockwise to about 625ms fully clockwise.

Bodega

Freqscene Bodega is a versatile preamp/overdrive pedal. A collaboration with my pal Stefan Tosheff, a super talented artist and guitar player. The reason why I call this a preamp is because the circuit topology is very similar to the preamp section of classic tube amplifiers. The tubes are replaced with cascading JFET amplification stages, which have been tuned to replicate the dynamics, warmth and response of a good vintage amp. This is not a clone, this was designed by me on the breadboard, but is very similar to other "amp in a box" pedals such as the Benson Preamp, SSBS Mini, Wampler Black 65 etc. I designed it to have a good range of gain from clean boost to distortion (not metal). I like to use this pedal similar to a second amp channel.

I.O.U

NOTE: THIS IS A PRE-ORDER! PEDALS WILL SHIP IN APPROX 3 WEEKS! Tony Iommi in a pedal! Tony is famous for using a treble booster into a cranked Laney Supergroup amp. I couldn't find anyone else doing separate foot-switchable 2-in-1 emulation of this setup. The right side is a silicon treble booster circuit based on the renowned Cornish TB-63. The boost knob controls the amount of treble boosted drive/boost. The left side is my emulation of the Laney Supergroup amp with the level control adjusting the amount of volume and gain. There is also a treble and bass knob for adjusting the EQ to your taste. This thing gets loud and will DOOM! NOTE: Turning on both sides at once will send a massive boost to your amp. If you crank both level knobs the pedal will make noise/oscillations. I keep them both below 80% when both effects on together. Featuring quiet soft-touch relay switching. Designed and assembled in Vancouver Canada with love. Accepts standard 9V centre-neg power supply (no batteri...

Happy Days

Remember when the music video for Weezer's Buddy Holly was included on the Windows 95 disc? That was kinda weird, right? But kinda awesome. I remember 12-year-old me watching that video over and over again on the family computer and wanting to have THAT huge distortion sound. Bring yourself back to the time of screeching dial-up modems, ICQ, oversized pants and stickered-up Fender fat Strats with the Freqscene Happy Days pedal. I wanted to recreate the huge distortion/fuzz sound of the Blue Album with this pedal. And I love how it turned out. There are no knobs on the front to keep the design looking clean. But because I know you freqs love to tinker, I included little VOLUME, EQ, GAIN and WIDTH knobs inside the back of the pedal. Just unscrew the back and turn them with a little flathead screwdriver. So what first looks like a one-note fuzz is actually SUPER versatile. The WIDTH control is the magic here, it can change this thing from a spitty/gated fuzz sound to a smooth sustaining

Clean Freq

Here's a fun little guy I designed for myself but made a few more in case others wanted one too. - Designed as an "always on" buffer/booster (no footswitch, just true bypass toggle switch). - Slider is perfect for adjustments with your foot while playing - Super transparent boost/preamp/buffer does not change your guitar or amp tone - Up to 35 decibels of clean boost - High impendence input buffer (when on) that improves strength of signal path adding high end clarity and sparkle - Discrete Mosfet transistor circuit similar to the ZVEX SHO but with no crackle when adjusting slider - Slider adjusts amount of clean boost. Last 20% can really push your amp into a nice breakup/overdrive depending on the wattage of your amp!

INSANE MODE

no. no. no. no. no. YES! The freqscene Insane Mode pedal is the only pedal to accurately replicate the complex harmonic distorted tones of the Line 6 guitar amp on insane mode! ️ disclaimer: I have never owned, tested or even heard a Line 6 amp before. This pedal probably sounds nothing like one. I wouldn t do you like that. This is my take on a high gain distortion pedal. I started with one of my favorite circuits, the classic RAT. But not wanting to give you a straight clone you can get anywhere, I looked to modify the circuit to make it more INSANE. I added a clean boost circuit giving you MORE volume and MORE gain. Where the original RAT maxes out on volume and gain is only half way up on this pedal! This thing is crazy LOUD. Perfect for doom and shoegaze etc on higher settings! I also hear more warthm, presence and mids than a stock RAT. I also included the classic RAT-style volume and tone controls but in mini trimpots on the circuit board to dial it in for your setup. Zuma Overdrive

Neil Young's drive sound in a box! Based on the character of a vintage tweed Fender Deluxe amplifier. It features loose bass, greasy mids, cutting treble, and incredible grit. It utilizes four cascaded JFET gain stages for a much more natural tube amplifier attack/decay than most other drive pedals. Humbuckers and other higher output pickups will overdrive the Zuma fairly easily, so if you are playing a guitar with these type of pickups go easy on the Gain control at first unless you want to channel "Keep on rockin' in the free world" edge of destruction speaker sounds.

Gain Boy

PRE-SALE: I WILL BE MAKING THESE IN THE NEXT THREE WEEKS AND WILL SHIP WHEN YOURS IS READY. The gain boy is a Freqscene original pedal, based around a modified Harmonic Percolator distortion/fuzz. It has a MOSFET clean boost in the beginning of the circuit (think ZVEX SHO) that takes the classic Percolator to the next level, with loads of output volume on tap! The input control set the amount of pre-gain and harmonics and the output acts like a master volume. I have included a mini FAT trimpot on the circuit board (last pic) that you can adjust with a little flathead screwdriver for adding in more low end and fuzz (works well with bass). Runs on standard 9V Boss-style power supply True bypass Handmade one-by-one with quality through-hole components from conception to product by a human in Vancouver, Canada

Hyped Overdrive

Description: It's possible to love a pedal but also think the hype and mystique is ridiculous right? This is a true clone of an original 90's silver Klon that was de-gooped, traced and the schematic shared online. All the original components that make it special are here, the internal voltage charge pump (doubles the 9V internally to 18V), germanium clipping diodes, buffered bypass etc. But not wanting to leave things alone, I added a couple mini switches to the bottom right of the circuit board if you take off the back cover (see last image). 'FAT' mode switches in a different capacitor for a slightly fuller, fatter sounding (dare I say better sounding?) Klon. And there is also a clipping switch for selecting between the stock germanium diodes (GE) and LED diodes which change the distortion character of the pedal, making it louder and more dynamic and amp-like (all the buzzwords). Play with them and see which you prefer! Runs on your standard 9V Boss-style center-neg power supply (...
